Hot Stone Massage combines the benefits of massage with the therapeutic application of heated basalt stones to create a deeply relaxing and enjoyable treatment experience.
The warmth of the stones allows therapists to work comfortably whilst introducing a different sensory experience for the client. Stones can be used as an extension of the hands during treatment, providing opportunities to vary pressure, reduce physical effort and create flowing, effective massage routines.
During this two-day practical course, you will learn how to safely prepare, heat and use massage stones within professional practice. We will explore treatment techniques, stone placement, treatment flow, contraindications and client care.
You will leave with the knowledge and confidence to offer a complete Hot Stone Massage treatment and integrate stone work into existing massage sessions where appropriate.
As part of The Well School Longevity Series, this course explores ways of delivering effective treatments whilst supporting sustainable practice for therapists and positive treatment experiences for clients.

A £50 deposit secures your place on the course and covers the cost of materials prepared for each student. This deposit is non-refundable.If you need to cancel your place, please let us know as soon as possible.
Cancellations made more than 1 month before the course date may either transfer the remaining balance to a future course (subject to availability) or receive a refund of any monies paid above the £70 deposit.
Cancellations made within 1 month of the course date cannot be refunded or transferred, as materials and course preparation will already have been arranged.
