When Caren met Fideliz……

I had the pleasure of working with Fideliz Cruz recently, thank goodness for Instagram making helping us to make worldwide connections and forever long friendships, and invited Fideliz to contribute to our blog. You will find this blog shares the journey of a business transformation, as your business will evolve and grow as you learn and get to understand your contribution to the market place. Fideliz openly and honestly shares the challenges of change, the possible lack of support from those around you as you venture in a new direction. Fideliz openly shares how her Christian faith gave her the strength to move forward in the changes even when voices around suggests it may be a poor choice. Finished with questions to challenge ourselves on the directions, possible changes and value we offer in our business, it will leave you with food for thought. I hope you enjoy this contribution from a very lovely lady.

How to make significant changes to add value to your clients & create opportunities for your business.

When I first launched my Personal Styling Business on Feb 6th 2014, I was so excited because I knew I had finally taken the first step into getting closer to my dreams and it was going to be so much fun but I also knew I will have to learn new things, and invest time, money and hard work onto it.

Because I’ve been doing Personal Styling a couple of years before I launched my business officially in 2014, this gave me time to think about how else I can better serve my clients and add value and quality to my offerings. I have learned that I enjoyed Personal Styling, but I was ready to find ways of helping my clients on a deeper level and so I decided to add Life Coaching into my business.

On May 6th 2015 I graduated with Beautiful You Life Coaching Academy and it was again one of the best investments I have made for my business and it allowed me to better serve my clients – Life Coaching set me apart from other Personal Stylist and this was something I was so very proud to offer during those times. Hooray Personal Styling & Life Coaching Combo! During those times I had such assurance and peace that I was in the right place in my business and was confident that it was were I was meant to be.

Years later and as I grew as a person, I realised my business also grew with me. I now only offer Life Coaching Services and have taken the Personal Styling part away. I see now that this was just a stepping stone into where God was really leading me which is to serve through Life Coaching.

One of the things I’ve learned as I continue to grow in my business is that we continue to learn, grow and continue to evolve. We will always find ways to innovate, create and expand our business. Our business grows with us.

You will always find ways to add value to everything that you do and if you want to stand out from the crowd, then we need to be able to look outside the box and create the change for our business. Look at ways to diversify and provide additional opportunities for your business. – In my case, it can also serve as a stepping stone to what God is really leading you to.

As expected, a few people around me didn’t understand this concept or vision at the time when I combined my personal styling and life coaching together and were wondering why I had 2 very different services together. (I’m also a multi-passionate person and so I also had so many dreams and ideas at the time this made some people around me uncomfortable and even comment that my business was not going to make it)

Going onto 5 years later, my Life Coaching business is thriving and continues to grow. I have been nominated International Coach of the year 2 years in a row and not only have achieved so many amazing things through my business but have made an impact in so many people’s lives all around the globe. (Praise God!) I’m still growing and will continue to, but it’s this JOY that God has given me knowing I have peace, assurance and His guidance all the way as I serve Him through my Life Coaching business. There is still so much to learn…. And I know many changes along the way as I grow and evolve as the person God has called me to be.

Remember that some people are not going to understand you, and will not really get your vision. It’s ok. They don’t have to get it. Just keep going with your Vision. When you get a new idea for something you’d like to do, it’s not unusual for it not to be understood by the people closest to you. Creative people are, by nature, innovative; and innovation, while necessary and desirable, is not readily accepted at first.

Here are some questions for you:

How can you better add value to your clients, your business and your service offerings?

What significant changes can you make to create better opportunities for your business?

What is holding you back from making those changes?

Give value to your dreams and creative ideas. Don’t be afraid to make those changes you’ve been meaning to make for your business this year. God will guide you and help you transition no matter how big or small the change will be.

Our creations can take on a life of their own, and we have no idea where they will lead or who they will impact.

It will be challenging, but it will be well worth it!

Step by step.

Love,
